On September 7, 2008, only a week prior to the disastrous hurricane Ike, the Houston Dynamos faced the Kansas City Wizards. The MLS match, assisted by 14,297 fans, took place at the Robertson Stadium. Parents and children filled the bleachers and the NAPA tent prior to the event. One fortunate NAPA representative was in charge of the “Ceremonial Kick.” The Dynamo Cheerleaders had much to cheer about, since their team took home the victory 3 to 1. The crowd was also euphoric; not only about the goals, but also with the great NAPA gifts they received. We know that same crowd of motivated and strong people will be able to rebuild after the damages caused by Ike.
El 7 de septiembre de 2008, apenas una semana antes del desastroso paso del huracán Ike, el Houston Dynamo se enfrentó a los Kansas City Wizards. El partido del MLS, asistido por 14,297 fanáticos, se llevó a cabo en el Robertson Stadium. Padres y niños dominaron las gradas y la carpa NAPA previo al evento. Un afortunado representante de NAPA estuvo a cargo del “Ceremonial Kick”. Las porristas del Dynamo tuvieron mucho de que gritar y celebrar, ya que su equipo se llevó la victoria 3 a 1.
