A rainy, gray day in Utah could not keep 26,391 MLS fans at home. They decide to brave the weather with raincoats or not, to see the Real Salt Lake play against Chivas USA, and we like to think, to get a chance to spin the wheel for our fabulous NAPA prizes! Prior to the game the fans had the opportunity to enjoy the music of local bands who participated in a Battle of the Bands event. Salvador Torres, from NAPA was in charge of the coin toss. The Rice Eccles Stadium felt the feet of the players run through it for the last time on this September 20 match. The next time the Real Salt Lake plays in Utah, they will do so in their brand new soccer stadium. Maybe the excitement of having their own stadium will help them win next time, since this time Chivas took the victory 1 to 0. It was the perfect day to enjoy the paradoxically pleasant feeling of being cold and wet, watching your favorite sport, screaming at the top of your lungs, holding on to your new NAPA possessions; yup, these are the soccer games you don’t forget.
Un día gris y lluvioso no pudo retener a 26,391 fanáticos de la MLS en sus casas. Decidieron enfrentarse al clima con o sin ponchos, para ver al Real Salt Lake jugar contra Chivas USA y para tener la oportunidad de ¡girar la rueda de NAPA y ganarse nuestros fabulosos premios! Antes del juego los fans tuvieron la oportunidad de disfrutar la música de bandas locales que participaron en la Batalla de las Bandas. Salvador Torres, de NAPA, estuvo a cargo del “Coin toss”. El estadio Rice Eccles sintió los pies de los jugadores correr por su campo por última vez en este juego del 20 de septiembre. La próxima vez que el Real Salt Lake juegue en Utah, lo harán en su nuevo estadio de fútbol. Tal vez la emoción de tener su propio estadio les ayude a ganar, ya que este juego lo ganaron los Chivas 1 a 0.
