The LA Memorial Coliseum dressed in red, green, and white on September 24th for the invitational game between Mexico’s Tri and Chile. More than 40 thousand fans arrived at the game as early as 4 p.m. for the Fútbol Fiesta prior to the game. NAPA, official sponsor of the MNT, threw a ball with all the prizes given out that day and night. Even though the Chileans were minority in the stands, Hispanics of several countries brought the energy and environment typically Latino enjoyed in events like this one. However, the Chileans made their enthusiasm known during the second half when Chile took the game 1 to 0 by auto-goal! The stadium went wild when that happened and thousands of other fans watching through Telemundo must have also cried or celebrated.
El LA Memorial Coliseum se vistió de rojo, verde y blanco el 24 de septiembre para el juego amistoso entre El Tri de México y Chile. Más de 40 mil fanáticos llegaron al estadio a partir de las 4 pm para el Fútbol Fiesta previo al partido. NAPA, auspiciador oficial de la FMF, botó la bola con todos los premios que regalamos esa tarde y noche. Aunque los chilenos eran minoría en las gradas, hispanos de varios países trajeron la energía y ambiente típicamente latino que se disfruta en eventos como éste. ¡No obstante, los chilenos dejaron sentir su entusiasmo en la segunda mitad cuando Chile se llevo el partido 1 a 0 por auto-gol! El estadio se quería caer cuando eso pasó y los otros miles de fans que vieron el juego a través de Telemundo también deben haber llorado o festejado.
