Today MLS and its national broadcast partners announced the entire regular season schedule for 2009, the League’s 14th season.

Major League Soccer (MLS)
Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world today, and with the upcoming 2010 World Cup, soccer is rapidly growing its U.S. fan base. In 2010, 16 U.S. Major League Soccer teams in their 15th season will play more than 240 matches League-wide and televised on five networks throughout the season, which runs from March through November. First Kick, encompasses the opening weekend of Major League Soccer’s season -- March 25-27 – and all 16 club home openers. It all begins Thursday, March 25 with the inaugural game of the Philadelphia Union, the League’s 16th team, against the Seattle Sounders FC. Seventy Five (75) percent of games will be played on Saturdays; Eighty Five (85) percent of games will be played on weekends. There will be also a two-week break in the MLS Season aligns with the group of the FIFA World Cup.
Soccer has been a proven winner for NAPA, and the MLS sponsorship complements a successful sponsorship of the Mexican National Soccer Team.

En el 2010, 16 equipos del U.S. Major League Soccer en su 15ta temporada jugarán más de 240 partidos a nivel de la liga, televisados en 5 cadenas a través de la temporada, que corre entre marzo y noviembre. First Kick cubre el fin de semana de inicio de la temporada del Major League Soccer—marzo 25-27—y los 16 partidos de inicio. Todo comienza el 25 de marzo con el juego inaugural entre el 16to equipo, los Philadelphia Union, y los Seattle Sounders FC. Setenta y cinco (75) por ciento de los juegos se llevarán a cabo en sábados; Ochenta y cinco (85) por ciento de los juegos en fines de semana.
